Since childhood we all have had different dreams, we visualize ourselves as to be doctors, teachers, lawyers, scientists, etc. Often when students graduate, they are confused with which path to follow and eventually the majority of them end up going with the crowd or their friends.
There are some students who are very ambitious since the beginning, are very clear on their goals and at a very early age, they start preparing for IITs, DCE, or some National services exams. Talking about the salary of our President as on date is around 5 Lakh per month from which he gets around 2.75 lakh after-tax deduction. Ever imagined if we can earn this much money?
Ten years ago, an average engineering pass-out student used to be paid somewhere between 2.5 LPA -4 LPA irrespective of the stream he belongs to. And today a CS/IT graduate can easily get a minimum of 8-10 LPA package. But this does not serve the purpose as the packages are increasing so is the market. Inflation is skyrocketing.
As per the latest survey, which is the post covid time, A data scientist or an analytics professional earns the maximum. Obviously, they have to deep dive into the data and bring out such insights that would be helpful not just for the stakeholders but at the national level. For example, the number of deaths during COVID, number of recoveries, recovery rate, symptoms of the patients, and so on, using such metrics from the historical data, data scientists built certain algorithms and models that we're able to predict how much hikes in the infection rate can be predicted in upcoming months and that is how the government was able to make decisions of arranging the oxygen cylinders and hospital beds in advance for the patients.
A data scientist having 3-10 years of experience earns between 25-60 LPA and can go up to 1Cr, which is higher than our President’s salary. Hence, the scope of growth has increased immensely especially after COVID. This is one such profession which is in high demand for all the domains be it IT, Finance, Healthcare, Insurance or Retail.
